How I Support Families

Fair question. TL:DR: I am a coach.

A popular saying in my world is, “Behavior is communication.” What I have learned over the years is how to speak that language. I have spent nearly 20 years working with all kinds of kids: some of them neurodivergent, some experiencing trauma, and some who just need a little extra coaching. In that time, I have learned a lot about supporting both the kids and the grown-ups caring for them. I accomplish this by working with families to create collaborative, solution-focused, and strengths-based plans that promote helpful behavior and connection. I do this by leaning into all I have learned about neuroscience and effective teaching.

That sounds awesome but what does that mean for my family?

When I first meet you, I spend time getting to know everyone, understanding the problem that needs to be solved, and learning your strengths. Then, I help you create a plan that both supports your unique family and leverages my years of experience and specialized training. Once we have created a plan you feel good about, I will check in with you regularly to make sure the goals are met and suggest changes if needed.

I am here to help your family thrive.

What I am not is a therapist, psychologist, or board-certified behavior analyst. I am not qualified to diagnose or treat any condition. What I do have is a lot of experience with neurodiverse humans, and I have learned a few ways to make life easier.
